Seems weird how today the anime recordings are cheap but the SD plastic toys (like nendoroids) are absurdly expensive.

I still have a couple DVDs of Tai Seng releases, and am fairly confident their license for US distribution was legit.
Of course, to get more than a handful of titles you needed a region free player and more dubious discs from companies like Media Asia, Universe Laser, and Mei-Ah Multimedia.

I used Sony's MD for a few years; I think the player could record/mix from a variety of sources, which is why I bought it. That, and I consider Apple's insidious wares something I can live without.
